Considered an institution in Sarasota, Yoder’s Amish Restaurant is a family-owned landmark that has been open since 1975. An unassuming dining establishment and a local favorite for many years, hungry patrons come to Yoder’s for their hearty portions of comfort food dishes and made-from-scratch pies. Legendary in the “Amish Riviera” town formerly known as Pinecraft, Yoder’s Amish Restaurant has even been featured on The Food Network’s “Man Vs. Food”, where the host was overwhelmed by the flavors found in the restaurant’s famous fried chicken. Crisp and succulent, it is the restaurant’s crown jewel on the menu.

Known for their generous portions of home-cooked meals, digging into one of their dishes will remind you of a family dinner made by mom or grandma. While the fried chicken is a hit, so are items like pot roast, mashed potatoes, and breakfast delights like country fried steak and raspberry stuffed french toast. Comfort food at its best, you’ll be greeted with homemade bread and real apple butter before your meal even arrives.

Celebrated even more than the comfort dishes at Yoder’s is its homemade pies, where you’ll be spoiled for choice in the range of flavors displayed in a tempting dessert case. Made from scratch every day, dig into a bite of one of the oversized pie slices.

Offering slices as big as your head, sample one of the popular flavors like Peanut Butter, Praline, or Strawberry, or go for the classic Florida Key Lime and Coconut Cream. Try your best not to take a slice of one of the 30 delicious flavors to go. If you have a sweet tooth but not you’re not into the pie, they also have homemade cheesecake, chocolate cake, and hand-dipped ice cream.
