The Original Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island, Portland
This is the original pumpkin patch of Portland, Oregon, and a great one to visit year after year. Beyond just pumpkins, this farm grows dozens of types of fruits and vegetables throughout the year. Top things to do here in the fall include picking your own pumpkins, eating and drinking at the patio café and Pumpkin Perk, browsing the Pumpkin Cottage Gift Shop, taking a hayride, and going through the maze. There is no entrance fee to come to the pumpkin patch, but dogs are not allowed. In October, pumpkin picking and hayrides are offered, and on weekends, you can climb the giant hay maze and hay pyramid.

Smith Rock Ranch, Terrebonne
Located near the beautiful and scenic Smith Rock State Park, known for rock climbing and just a short drive from Bend, Smith Rock Ranch is a fun place to be in the fall. At this Terrebonne destination, you can shoot a pumpkin with a bow and arrow, play some mini golf, hop on a wagon ride, and enjoy Clydesdale rides. Liepold Farms Fall Festival, Boring
Liepold Farms in the Oregon town of Boring has family-friendly activities for fall, including an apple catapult, tricycle race track, children’s pavilion, and a hay maze. This farm has been in operation since 1952, and the farm embraces sustainable agriculture with its 5th generation as a farming family. Past fall festival events included a corn maze, pedal karts, candy store and animal viewing and offered sweet treats such as caramel popcorn and hot corn on the cob.
Lee Farms, Tualatin
Lee Farms in Tualatin is also a prime spot to be for pumpkin picking and visiting farm animals with your family. Come here on weekends to make your way through the four-acre corn maze, go on a barrel wagon ride or hayride, and let the kids get up close and personal with animals at the petting zoo. There are 27 varieties of pumpkins grown in the fields here. General admission tickets include hayrides, a corn maze, animals, and parking. Fir Point Farms, Aurora
You can also head to Fir Point Farms in Aurora to have fun with all sorts of activities, including a corn maze, petting zoo, nature trail, and cow train. Fir Point is about 15 minutes south of Portland, and general admission includes a six-acre pumpkin patch and kids zone with bouncy houses, cow roping, a nature trail and giant slides.
