Voracious & Rare Beer Festival, Wilmington
If you want to try some different beers that you’ve never had before or possibly never even heard of before, then you’ll want to check out the Voracious and Rare Beer Festival in Wilmington. Instead of having the same old thing, you can sample limited-release beers from 50 breweries. Plus, enjoy delicious appetizers and live music while you take in the views from the festival’s unique location on the banks of Cape Fear River with a view of the USS North Carolina.

OBX Brewtag, Nags Head
OBX Brewtag is a beer festival like no other. Modeled after the famous Red Bull Flutag that takes place every year in Germany, where contestants attempt to take flight in their homemade flying machines, contestants at Brewtag compete to see who can fly an empty 1/6 keg barrel the farthest. In addition to the unique form of entertainment, there will also be different breweries and cideries on-site selling their best craft concoctions.

Yadkin Valley Grape Festival, Yadkinville
Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Yadkin Valley was the first federally approved American Viticultural Area in the state of North Carolina. And because of its rich soil, it is home to not only the state’s native varieties of Muscadine and Scuppernong, but also many European varietals as well. You can sample a wide variety of them at the annual Yadkin Valley Grape Festival, where wineries will be on hand from the surrounding area offering tastings, as well as plenty of food, entertainment and shopping.
