Here are the best campgrounds and RV parks in and around Moab for your next trip to Utah.
Moab Valley RV Resort & Campground
You can stay at the Moab Valley RV Resort & Campground and enjoy an RV site, tent site, vacation rental, or even a vintage Airstream rental. This is a family-friendly campground with a playground, dog park, BBQ pavilion, and large chess set. Other features are a bike wash and repair station, hot tub, and putting green. For RVs, there are 30/50-amp sites with room for slide-outs, picnic tables, grills, and Wi-Fi. Tent sites are available here for a more rustic camping experience, as well as cabins, cottages, and Airstreams for glamping.
Devils Garden Campground, Arches National Park
If you want to stay as close as possible to the iconic arches, plan to stay in Devils Garden Campground, which is the only campground in Arches National Park. Between March and October, you can reserve a site at this busy campground. But the sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis between November and February. The campground is 18 miles from the park entrance. There are 51 total sites here, but none have electrical hookups. Features of the campground include flush and pit toilets, grills, picnic tables, and drinking water. There is no cell phone reception or internet connectivity here.
Moab KOA Holiday

Tent campers can stay at the Up The Creek Campground as their home based to check out Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. This is an urban campground that’s just two blocks from Main Street in Downtown Moab. There are 18 tent sites here where you park and walk to your site among the shade trees. It’s a little off the beaten path while still being within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. It’s easy to have lots of adventures when you stay here and you can enjoy the famous Slick Rock Bike Trail. Campground amenities include a bathhouse with toilets and showers, outside sink for dishes, and grilling stations.
Goose Island Group Sites
If you are looking to camp with a large group, the Goose Island Group Sites are a good option. These sites are close to Moab and Arches National Park, with easy access to hiking, mountain biking, 4WD tours, and whitewater rafting. You can get to the town of Moab within five minutes to reach tour companies, museums, shops, and dining. Meanwhile, Arches National Park is 10 minutes away. The sites are by the Colorado River and cottonwood trees to give you some shade and canyon views. However, they do not have drinking water, showers, electric hookups, or sewer dump stations. Campers use vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire grates here.
